The Messy Middle

One Voice Evolving: Better You, Better World
I took a leap of faith this year. I dropped out of my comfort zone of social media likes and followers and entered no-man’s-land where writing makes it real.
Oh, it’s real alright. Real messy.
In a foreign land of Substack (follow One Voice Evolving on Substack HERE) with the meteoric rise of AI and algorithmic preferences, it’s easy to lose your voice.
This landing zone is muddy. Quiet. Sometimes shady, sometimes dark. Always foreign. Writing in my authentic voice has always been my secret sauce and my dirty little secret.
But I’m no quitter. I’m not here for the drama. I’m here for the duration. We’re going to ride this to the end and I hope to touch some lives along the way.
You are welcome to peek behind the curtain of One Voice Evolving where hearts are shared and healing happens.
And then there’s AI-the great intrusion of our time. As we move into 2026, I commit to keeping it real here. Like everything else this year, it arrived without a roadmap, forcing us to navigate and negotiate how much of our ourselves we're willing to hand over to something that isn't human.
I’m wrestling with it out loud and calling a thing a thing because that’s who I am in this world, apparently.
I refuse to let AI homogenize our collective voice. We each have a story to tell, a life to live, and love to give. Together we rise in rhythmic harmony, not dystopian lockstep until no voice is distinguishable.
So when I say, "I’m not here for the drama. I’m here for the duration," what I really mean is I'm going to leap and fly and freefall--sometimes beautifully, sometimes awkwardly--until whatever this becomes... becomes.

We are walking into a future none of us have lived before. This is where we land together, in real time, without pretending we’re experts in a world that keeps rewriting the rules.
Welcome to the messy middle.
I’m glad you’re here for the duration too. Maybe it’s not quicksand after all.
